I am a self-taught Latin American artist, proudly Indo-Hispanic and multicultural.  I experimented for a long time with multimedia techniques, working with papier-mâché, glass, aluminum, and unfinished wood.   During the past few years I have focused increasingly on the production of art-decorative objects for the home.  I particularly enjoy bringing the beauty and the spirit of great artists into the proximity of our domestic reality. 

One of my favorite sources of inspiration is the art of Frida Kahlo, whose dramatic honesty and desperate need to communicate reaches us through time with great forcefulness.  But whether it is Frida painting, as she said, her own reality, or Gauguin describing the idealized reality he chose to believe, or Miró toying with lines and colors as through the eyes of a child, all great art shows us the beauty of life from many different angles.   Bringing that beauty home soothes the soul, and helps us live more happily.
